Some of the reasons I so badly want a joint Duke, Tim, Cass and Steph title is, not only will you have an interesting dynamic of Duke v Tim where the you have the youngest and newest family member - who also is the best leader - potentially butting heads with a more calculating and experienced Tim which could lead to some initial interesting friction.
But you could also do some nice stories about adolescence in Gotham and start telling stories about these guys in their secret ids (which has really fallen off the face of the earth in recent bat comics) and have adventures during the day in Gotham. Things like get Tim and Steph to college (finally) and Duke back in high school and Cass trying average life out and finding it incredible dull and beneath her or finding actually she really likes aspects of it or whichever. Just more stories of defining the four outside of those costumes.
But also I just find the thought of Duke Tim and Cass, three people who are targeted by the League of Assassins over and over again with temptations and corruption yadda yadda, versus Stephanie ‘I’m just very happy to be included in this narrative’ Brown as the wildcard, as very, very, very funny.
Like Ra’s in the background like Be my heir; Be the body I want to possess so I can be young once more; Be my loyal bodyguard…
And then there’s Steph
Thank goodness for being the non-meta daughter of a loser huh?
