So I was thinking about the fact that H50 was on air for 10 years, and if it hadn’t been cancelled it would have been a great big anniversary, I’m sure. This also got me thinking that Five-0 itself would have had an anniversary to celebrate—and wouldn’t that have been a great alternative for the finale, a real happy ending?
Just imagine:
First, a formal celebration, hosted by the Governor. Everyone wearing their dress uniforms, looking pretty
and hot; the team would be awarded with some kind of service medal for their dedication, their bravery, all the hard and most importantly successful work. Imagine someone who knows them well (like Duke, or maybe Jerry) holding a speech, reminiscing, telling fun stories from back in the day, how they scared cops and perps alike with their unorthodox methods. There would be so many people dropping by, who they have met and who they have helped over the years; they would be showered with speeches and praise and thank you notes.Later, there would be an informal celebration, of course. A party at Steve’s house, with a huge BBQ in the backyard and at the beach, like Thanksgiving but much bigger, and it would last the whole day and well into the night. The whole ohana would be there, so many kids around, literally everyone coming back home to celebrate. Chin would be there with Abby and Sara and their newborn baby. Kono would be there and she and Adam would talk and make up.
And then there would be an even more informal celebration, just Danny and Steve, probably at the beach, gazing at the stars in the middle if the night, after the party is over. And there would be a love confession or a marriage proposal or maybe just a vow of love and promise of a future together.
